In general,
you won’t go wrong ordering a card from any of the ID Card sites listed
on this website.
If you are not sure about a
website, please have a look at the tips below to help you.
Can you contact the
site?
Email the site first, and see
what they have to say to you. Generic template replies or no reply at
all
Are there real scans
of the card you want?
A lot of sites just have graphics,
rather than a scan of an actual printed ID card. Make sure the site you
go with has actual scans of the cards.
Does the site make
ridiculous claims?
Don’t trust sites that make
stupid claims about delivery such as "send your card off today, get
it tomorrow!!!!" It’s clearly bullshit.
Are there suspicious
claims from "customers"?
Beware sites that have bogus
customer testimonials. Anyone can just make them up so they are fairly
valueless.
Did you get to the
site via another website?
A lot of fake ID sites spam,
or set up crap websites to promote their site only. Beware of these sites.
Does the site only
accept cash?
Do not go with a site that
only accepts cash, it is clearly a scam.
Are the cards copies
of existing cards?
Any site that sells or purports
to sell copies of existing cards such as DVLA licences are scammers.
Are you going to send
them cash?
Please be careful sending cash
in the post, it can be robbed by unscrupulous websites, and postmen.
Does the website look
rubbish?
Rubbish website? Probably rubbish
cards. Beware sites that use the colour blue, the letter "L"
and also bullet points. Bullet points are the typographical sign of the
devil.
